Freebie Tutorial: Simple Bow Holder

Hey y'all! Long time no blogging. Hehe. As of today, I have added four tutorial to my website. They are at super low prices! And come with step by step instructions with pictures. As a thank you, I'm doing a this FREEBIE tutorial for a very simple bow holder. Be sure to check out our all new tutorials by visting our website!

Now...for the FREEBIE simple tutorial...

 * Simple Bow Holder *

Materials Needed:
  • 1 Acrylic Canvas (can be any size and can be purchased at any craft store)
  • Your choice of an acrylic paint
  • Your choice of ribbon. (Be sure to choose different sizes and prints to add for a fun look. The different sizes also help with organizing smaller bows, clippies, and bigger bows.)
  • Hot glue gun with glue sticks
  • Paint brush/sponge
  • Sissors
Step 1: Measure and cut ribbon to appropriate length to fully cover the front of the canvas, set aside for later.
Step 2: Paint the acrylic canvas with TWO coats and allow to fully dry. While you are waiting on the canvas to dry.
Step 3: Plug in that hot glue gun and glue the strips of ribbon you previously cut to the canvas. (Try not to space them exactly the same distance. For the thinner ribbon space them close...as you typically use that ribbon to hold small clippies. For the thicker ribbon space them a little distance apart...as you typically use that ribbon to hold heavier and bigger bows.) Allow for the glue to fully dry, typically a few minutes but I would say at least 15 minutes to be on the safe side.
Step 4: You are all ready to hang the simple bow holder up on the wall. Simply nail two small nails into the wall several inches apart and place your new bow holder on the nails and...VIOLA!

This is a great way to store your bows. You can even slide some headbands onto there by making a simple loop through the ribbon with your headband. These are super cute and great to hang in a child's bedroom or the bathroom.
